Remember the classic sci-fi flick The Fly with Vincent Price where a man turns into a giant fly because of an experiment gone buggy? At the end, they see a tiny fly with a human head in a spider web saying “Help me! Help me!” Well, in ABC’s Lost, it sure seemed weird when an invisible entity named Jacob suddenly appeared to Locke, and said, “Help me!” Theories on Web had have theorized that Jacob, like our fly guy, was a real person who was the victim of a science experiment that made him a disembodied inhabitant of the island’s magnetic fields. (Here’s one example.) Maybe the Fly connection, which I haven’t found elsewhere, clinches it?
